(pic is from Wednesday night after kanab ER visit)I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day. We spent most of the evening at the ER in St. George with Austin. Wednesday evening he broke his left ring finger at the growth plate which is where your finger is attached to your hand. Since it was at the growth plate we had to wait until Thursday to go to St. George and have an Orthopedic Surgeon set it and possibly put a pin in it. After waiting for hours in the ER the surgeon finally came to look at it. Luckily for Austin the surgeon decided that they should just numb it, then set it and then cast it. He is hopeful that the finger will fuse back since Austin is still young and his bones are still pliable. If so he won't have to have surgery. We will find out when they take the cast off in 3 weeks. Needless to say we didn't do much valentining. Maybe next year. I think that my kids are trying to meet our deductable this month since Jessica had Xrays on her hip on Tuesday and then this with Austin on Wednesday and Thursday. Two ER visits is a killer. I am just grateful that we have good insurance. That is such a blessing.

Well, that doesn't sound like a romantic day of love!!! Yikes, two ER visits in one week sounds like a killer! Not to mention the fact that you have to travel an hour and a half to get there! I hope it heals well!
