NEW YEARS EVE

We celebrated New Years Eve at my parents house. Tammi and her family were still here. So to start off the evening we ate sloppy joes. They were yummy. Then we played games and ate junk. We all had a blast playing games and just hanging out visiting. Everyone was still up at midnight to ring in the New Year(even my Dad which is unusual). The kids even ran out in to the street to see the fireworks(the fire department let off fireworks at the high school at midnight). We scared the dogs to death with little noise makers. After midnight we had our annual Welcome to the New Year Breakfast(the kids look forward to this every year). The we headed home. My sister was heading home that morning so we got the call that they were leaving in 1/2 hour at 8:30 am (too early when you didn't get to sleep until 2am). So we headed back over there to say our good byes(always hard). They headed north and we went in the family room and slept til noon. It was a very relaxing day. We tracked their progress up the state and all the way home with Google Latitude (cool) and Brandons GPS on his cell phone. It was really fun to be able to see where they were all the time.
We had a wonderful holiday and hope you all did too. Just a few more days of rest and then back to the grind.
