Tammi and her family came to Kanab for their annual summer trip. They usually come for a couple of weeks and we try to cram a whole summer of fun into two weeks. Here are some of the highlights. Quite a few of our days were spent cleaning up mud in my moms basement and our basement from the flooding that occured in Kanab. I am thankful Tammi and her family was here to help with this mess. We couldn't have done it as well or as fast with out them. THANK YOU!!
We traveled up to Zion Ponderosa to swim and play miniature golf. It was fun. The kids got bored fast (TEENAGERS!! ugh) but we still had a good time.
Austin turned 14 while Tammi was here. Usually they come earlier in the summer and are gone before his birthday so he was happy to be able to share it with them this time.
It flooded in Kanab and made a huge mess. Cost people alot of money to clean up and replace things. There were houses that had muddy water inside up to the window sills. It was not a pretty site.
At our house it filled up the window well outside Jordans room and then broke out the window. So Jordans room and the storage(where we have our remodeling storage stuff) got flooded. Luckily it was mostly water and just a little mud and debris. Stuart was out all day Saturday and Sunday helping people along with the fire department. Jordan and Jordan spent all day Saturday filling sand bags at the fire station and helping my clean out her basement. They were big helpers. THANKS GUYS!! We love and appreciate your help.
Tammi and I took Austin, Brittin and Tayson to the Lake on one of the days. When we got there it was really thundering and lightening bad. Then it started to rain really hard so we just sat in the truck and watched until it moved out far enough that we weren't worried about getting hit by lightening. The kids swam and played on the beach for the rest of the afternoon. We all had a great time.
Thanks for coming to visit. We love and miss you all!!
